My Obligations as Occupant?
Answer
Along with your rights as an occupant, you also have obligations. These are part of the collaborative efforts with us to quicken the process for your ultimate home ownership.
Your obligations are outlined in the contract and include:
- Paying the monthly Occupancy fees on time and every time
- Taking good care of the property with repair and maintenance
- Not leaving the property vacant for more than 30 days
- Keeping to the agreement. If the agreement is breached, the Option to Purchase is automatically terminated and Option Fee forfeited.
- Understanding that the Option Fee will not be changed for the set duration of the agreement.
- The responsibility to inform the seller of the intention to buy the property and to allow sufficient time for all necessary steps.
Yes, a lot of obligations. But also consider them steps to owning your home, at last. Remember, all of this will help get you out of that "losing" rent cycle you thought you were stuck in. Do you want to feel free, secure and wealthy?
